Today sees the official launch of v3.1 of DJ-1800!
v3.1 adds iPhone support, enabling users to mix music stored on any iPhone or iPod Touch. In addition, v3.1 adds support for new DJ controllers from Denon, Numark and M-Audio, and enables users to create their own plug-ins for any hardware controller.
DJ-1800 version 3.1 also includes the following new features:
* A new mid-range EQ control
* User-definable Low, Mid and Hi EQ ranges of up to -20 dB / +12 dB
* Support for the Denon DN-HC4500, M-Audio X-Session Pro, Numark DMC2, Numark iCDX and Numark Total Control
* Improved MP3 audio sync
* Improved support for VBR MP3 tracks
* Many other improvements and fixes
For a complete list of changes, check out the Release History.
v3.1 costs $80, and is available to download from the DJ-1800 web site. v3.1 is a free upgrade for users of v3.0 - v3.0.2. Users of v1.x or v2.x users can upgrade to v3.1 for $20.
Please do download DJ-1800 v3.1 and give it a try - we think you’ll like the new features!
Many thanks to all of the forum members and DJ-1800 users who have helped with testing the new version - it wouldn’t be the same without the time and effort they have put in to testing v3.1 during the beta stages.
Dave. |

Congratulations, Dave!
I assume that the final version isn't much different from 3.1b8, is it?
I have used b8 on Saturday and I'm happy to report that it was rock solid for 6 hours! I've been using my usual setup without the internal mixer with an iMic as the second output to an external DJ mixer.
There's only ONE issue I've noticed:
v3.1 doesn't seem to respect my "private" hidden preference PrefsStutterOffsetFromActualSongPosition and PrefsStutterLengthOfStutterLoop anymore! Which I noticed already in the middle of the gig because most of my tracks actally have cut-off intros - hence I don't even need to cue them.
(Of course, my not yet implemeted feature requests like searchable Grouping tag or a manual BPM calculator button/key still apply...) |

Thanks Lou - and thanks in return for the help as ever.

Yep - It's essentially the same.

This is excellent news. I'm very pleased with v3.1 - we have definitely ironed out some lingering problems from v3.0.2.

Aha - I think this might be due to an internal "tidy-up". Try using PrefsStutterOffsetFromActualTrackPosition rather than PrefsStutterOffsetFromActualSongPosition, and see if it works. We used to use "Song" and "Track" interchangeably, and we had a tidy up to use Track exclusively. This change affected the internal code as well as the public-facing text. I'm reasonably confident that this will fix things for you.

I haven't forgotten Once v3.1 is publicised and sorted, it'll be time for v3.2, and then we'll see what we can do...
Thanks again for the help and feedback, and all the best,
Dave. |
Try using PrefsStutterOffsetFromActualTrackPosition
That was it! Actually the line was already in the Pref file at the bottom with the default value.
Thanks! |
